Ontario Rebates on Furnaces and Air Conditioners

In the past, the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) only rebated homeowners who were upgrading their existing heating and cooling systems. As of January 1st, 2014, the Ontario Power Authority is now offering rebates on new installations, in addition to retrofit jobs.

This means that if you have a home that has no air conditioner, you can have one installed and apply for a rebate from the OPA. This is encouraging news and will translate into more homeowners taking advantage of the $250-$650 rebates offered on electrically efficient heating and cooling systems.

The Ontario Power Authority website offers complete details on all of the rebates available.
